Cage Titans XLII on January 26th

December 15th, 2018

Cage Titans begins the new year with an absolute bang. Arguably the deepest division in New England, the bantamweights take center stage January 26th at the historic Plymouth Memorial Hall just off the rocky shores of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Division champion, Jason Perrin, takes on top contender Kin Moy in the Main Event of Cage Titans XLII.

Perrin returns to action after a short but necessary lay-off. The champion earned his title at Cage Titans XL in August when he strategically defeated former champion and fan-favorite Johnny ‘Cupcakes’ Campbell in a technical 5 round battle. Since earning his title, the outspoken champion has been on a quest in search of a worthy challenger. His search ended at last months Cage Titans XLI.

Kin Moy cemented himself as the #1 contender at November’s Cage Titans XLI. There he took on and thoroughly handled the tough Gracie Tampa product, Patrick Corrigan. Moy put on a technicians clinic en route to submitting Corrigan in the third round of their main card contest. Although the appearance broke a nearly two year layoff for Moy, the Boston fighter didn’t seem to have lost a single step.

The matchup between Perrin and Moy represents two of the very best bantamweights the New England region has to offer. Both highly ranked and respected by numerous outlets and pundits, the winner could push himself one step closer to securing a contract with a top level organization.

Top lightweights clash in Co-Main Event when Joe Giannetti, in search of the best contenders the New England region has to offer, takes on Connor Barry in what should be a throwdown for the ages.

Since returning from the finals of The Ultimate Fighter, Joe Joe Giannetti has been determined to earn his spot back on the UFC roster. Connor Barry marks the second consecutive dangerous contender the TUF finalist will face. After suffering a disappointing result in his last appearance at Cage Titans XLI, a draw, Giannetti looks to re-establish himself as the region’s top lightweight.

Connor Barry makes his second consecutive appearance for Cage Titans in January. The top ranked lightweight took on promotional veteran Peter Barrett in the main event of Cage Titans XXXIX back in June. Barry impressed in his headlining debut as he dispatched Barrett with an impressive transition on his back to earn a submission finish.

The Co-Main event showdown holds massive implications for the futures of both. A win for either further demonstrates the talent both young fighters possess.
