On Saturday, August 24th Cage Titans is back at Plymouth Memorial Hall for Cage Titans XLV. A slew of all your favorite local pros will be featured on the card but the two match-ups really taking center stage are two monumental AM title fights. In them, and in both instances, we will see two out of state champions coming to town for the first time to take on two current Cage Titans champions with hopes of defeating them and leaving with the highly coveted Cage Titans belts.

The AM Bantamweight Title features current undefeated, Cage Titans champion, Jeffrey Joy (3-0), defending his title for the very first time against undefeated Kam Arnold (5-0) who currently holds a belt in his home state of Maine for the promotion NEF. Joy, after winning the title last event, made it no secret what he wanted next when he took to the mic in his post fight interview to call out Arnold. An unusual spin as it is typically a challenger that calls-out the champ, this was a pure power move by Joy because in all of New England, Arnold was currently sitting in the top spot in the rankings. (Joy slid to #2 with his win) Upon learning of the call-out, Arnold was more than happy to accept and though he now rides to Massachusetts to compete for the first time, his hope is that it comes with the same results as all his past fights back home. (5 KOs, 4 out of the 5 coming in the very first round)

In the AM Featherweight Title fight, another undefeated Cage Titans champion defends his belt for the first time when Shane Dougherty (4-0) takes on challenger Miguel Cuevas (6-1), who is the Connecticut based promotion Reality Fighting’s champ. Much like the other title fight, this one is simply two of the best in New England going at it to prove who the very best is not just in their promotion, but the entire region. We promise you, circle this fight on the line-up card because it has the makings of an instant classic with Dougherty never being in a boring fight, winning Fight of the Night honors multiple times, and sitting at #2 in the rankings and Cuervas who has had every one of his victories come via stoppage (4 SUB/2KO) sitting at the top spot.
