Memorial Day Weekend, Memorial Hall, BIG History is being made in more ways than one at Cage Titans 59.
Headlining what will surely be a memorable fight card is the first ever Professional Cage Titans Heavyweight Championship fight to establish the true most dangerous man in New England. Over 500
pounds of fury will enter the cage when Cage Titans staple Brendan Battles welcomes one of the most
recognized and revered New England behemoths Ras Hylton to Plymouth for the first time.
Battles (3-1, 3 KO/TKO) continues his mission to quickly rise to the top of the heap in the New England circuit in hopes to pursue a UFC contract by the end of 2023. No stranger to Plymouth Memorial Hall, the Cape Cod native will have the crowd behind him as he takes on the traveling Ras Hylton for the inaugural Heavyweight belt. Making the trip from Maine, Hylton (9-7, 8 KO/TKO) will be making his Cage Titans debut but is no stranger to the big stage with big stakes as a veteran Heavyweight out of New England with wins in Maine, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Hylton will be seeking his first victory in Massachusetts, one where he could silence the crowd and bring the Cage Titans belt up to Maine, taking a step closer to the big show in his own right.
Both giants possess a tremendous amount of respect for each other, and both are hungry heavyweights wanting to be called the first Cage Titans Heavyweight Champion which will surely bring an electrifying clash of styles as the 6’3” 265lb ground and pound spectacle Brendan Battles takes on the lethal power and timing of 6’6” 260lb Ras Hylton.
The co-main event also holds much prowess in the ever so stacked lightweight division as out of stater turned fan favorite Jacob Bohn looks to continues his win streak against another top Massachusetts contender who has spent the entirety of his career at Cage Titans in Zach DiSabatino.
Bohn (12-10, 5 SUB, 2 KO/TKO) gained instant respect at Memorial Hall in 2022 falling short in the Fight of the Year against Joe Giannetti and continued gaining fans in the also FOTY nominated war against Peter Barrett. He about stole the night at Cage Titans 58 with a highlight reel guillotine finish against Ali Zebian in March, as fans were ecstatic to see the Upstate New Yorker cement his first win at Cage Titans after a battle tested 2022. On a 6-fight win streak of his own, DiSabatino (11-2, 5 KO/TKO, 4 SUB) is determined to stifle the momentum of his out of state foe and continue his own on his march to top contender status. A decorated finisher known to dig deep in the trenches when a fight gets heavy, DiSabatino is a man who lets his fists and BJJ prowess do the talking on his exponential rise to the top. Both men are known for otherworldly durability and heart, both men have a knack for finding finishes out of thin air, their reputations alone make this a fight for the ages, let alone when they meet in the co-main event of Cage Titans 59.
Setting the table for the peak of the card is a feature bout between two amateur champions turned red hot professional prospects as Trevor Gudde looks to hand Jack Congdon his first taste of defeat. A towering figure at welterweight standing 6’7” Gudde (4-3, 3 SUB, 1 KO/TKO) looks to climb right back into the title picture after his most recent title fight loss to current champion Joe Giannetti, and handing Congdon the first loss of his career would certainly help in propelling him right back to the top of the mix. Congdon (2-0, 1 SUB, 1 KO/TKO) has brought nothing but devastation to his opponents in his unblemished run as an amateur champion and now surging prospect, finding a finish in every showing. Another finish over an already established title contender would put Congdon on the fastest of tracks to being the next local name on the big show.
All this and more professional action on the main card of Cage Titans 59, with the preliminary card getting things started with all of the amateurs aspiring to follow the footsteps of the pros at the top, culminating in two amateur title fights which are guaranteed highlights every time the amateur gold is on the line. The vacant Middleweight Title is up for grabs: reaching to regain that title is Jideofor Ojukwu (5-2) against undefeated Colin Robinson (3-0) who looks to add an MMA belt to the Cage Titans Muay Thai championship he already has. Lightweight fan favorite Miguel Sevasin (3-2-1) looks to add to his already extensive highlight reel defending his belt against undefeated finisher Sergei Peresunko (3-0) who has absolutely destroyed his competition on his path to the gold.
