Cage Titans 65 on May 25th

April 22nd, 2024

Boston vs. New York, a regional American rivalry dating back to the origin of organized sport, on full display on the regional MMA scene on May 25th in Americas Hometown at Plymouth Memorial Hall for Cage Titans 65. Championship Gold is on the line for both regions in the main and co-main event, as the battle between Upstate and the South Shore represent the New York/Boston rivalry in the purest combative form.

Rochester New York’s Jon “The Warhawk” Piersma dynamically introduced himself to the Cage Titans over the past half year, already securing his second main event as the newly crowned Welterweight Champion. The sensational ground and pound master has claimed the throne in a swift timeframe with a seemingly unstoppable dominance on the mat, and patient striking as effective as has been seen on the scene. Cracking and adding another goose egg for his omelet of dominance will solidify “The Warhawk” as a worthy name for a Contender Series run at the very least.

Proudly representing Lakeville Massachusetts, Jack Congdon has already graced the Hall with 9 finishes between amateur and professional competition and feels ready to jump into the deepest of ends for the biggest test of his career by far. Yet to catch a whiff of defeat, let alone taste it, Congdon has not let a professional opponent see the stool, ending all his business in the first round. Jack Congdon has developed into a fan favorite since his amateur debut, and the horizon to a big show opportunity is within reach. Unblemished, Undefeated, Undeterred, and with a win, Congdon will be Undeniable as the top prospect at 170 pounds in New England.

Jumping down a weight class in the co-main event, a rematch for the ages has come to fruition with the newly vacated lightweight title on the line, and vying for it, The South Shore’s Joe Giannetti vs. Upstate New York’s Jacob Bohn. Redemption is the story arch for both fighters, Giannetti appointed to the reclamation of the lightweight crown, and Bohn intent on the extraction of revenge. The first installment of this fight was an instant classic, and with both fighters amassing a string of impressive finishes since their last scrap, and both dead set on their respective redemption stories, it can be assured that Giannetti vs. Bohn II will be a sequel worth remembering.

These two title fights are the pinnacle of an action packed card taking place at Plymouth Memorial Hall May 25th.
