Cage Titans 67 on September 14

August 19th, 2024

The action continues September 14 th at Cage Titans 67 when the freshly vacated Bantamweight Title is on the line in the main event, with local and national legends colliding to appetize the masses at Memorial Hall. Back in New England and now back at his natural weight class, Jay “The Joker” Perrin is set on reclaiming the belt he never lost, and the man in his way is Jay “Presto” Pressley who wants two former champions in a row on his resume. This tops a card that will see the return of Shameless Nation and “Shameless” Don Shainis challenging Gerry “Captain America” Meuse and the Avengers, and a feature bout with national prowess on a scale yet to be seen at Plymouth Memorial Hall.

Jay Perrin (11- 8, 2 KO, 4 SUB) was the Bantamweight Champion until his vacation due to his run in the UFC. Upon returning locally and testing the waters at Featherweight, the opportunity for reclamation of the gold he never lost came about in a big way with this headline spot. A well-rounded technician and brilliant strategist, Perrin is confident he will reign again and remain unbeaten locally at his natural weight class against an exciting stylistic match up.

Jay “Presto” Pressley (8-4, 5 KO, 1 SUB) exploded onto the Cage Titans scene pulling off the upset in finishing Johnny “Cupcakes” Campbell in a fight where he got to demonstrate in full the depth of technical and intangible MMA skills. A telling display of heart, grit, cardio, pressure, power and instinct catapulted Pressley right to the top of the division in this well-earned title shot that will certainly have the crowd out of their seats.

Two more prominent locals battle it out when the stage is set for Don Shainis (13-7, 8 KO, 2 SUB) and Gerry Meuse (6-1, 5 SUB, 1 KO) to cross paths at pivotal points in their respective careers. The hunger is real as both men are looking to bounce back into the win column and take another step back towards the top in this electrifying co-main event.
