America’s Hometown, Plymouth Massachusetts, will once again be the place to be to celebrate the 4th of July with the return of the town’s usual festivities for the first time since the COVID shutdown. With that being said, Cage Titans was honored to be the first to get back to hosting live events in Plymouth last year, and figured what better way to kick-off this historic weekend than with a stacked fight card.
In the Main Event, ‘Skeletor’ Joe Giannetti defends his Cage Titans Lightweight Championship Title for the very first time against Atlanta’s Nate Williams. Williams is no stranger to coming in to Plymouth and playing spoiler as he was featured in the Main Event last July where he absolutely silenced the crowd in a dominating performance over Plymouth native, Don Shainis. As for Giannetti, his goal remains the same, get back to the UFC and he hopes a successful defense here gets him one step closer to that.
Sticking in the Lightweight division, featured on the card is a pair of fights that very well could determine the next contender for the title being fought over in the Main Event. Zach DiSabatino (9-2) looks to continue his climb up the ranks as he battles Hawaiian striker, Spencer Higa and UFC Vet Peter Barrett takes on North Carolina’s D’Juan Owens who just so happens to hold a victory of the current champ.
In another pro fights on the card, Hilarie ‘Bows’ Rose makes her long awaited return to Cage Titans when she takes on Connecticut’s Gabriella Gulfin and in a bantamweight bout between two former title contenders, Bruno ‘Jacare’ Dias faces-off with Lionel ‘Boogz’ Young.
In addition, the undercard is also stacked for Cage Titans 54 with three amateur titles on the line. Heavyweight champion Hassan Graham looks to keep his unblemished intact and the title belt around his waist when he takes on challenger Jack Burke. The the vacant Flyweight Title is up for grabs when Joe Poirier battles Tyler Smyth. And finally, the first ever Cage Titans Muay Thai Champion will be crowned when Lemon Payne squares-off with Colin Robinson.
